The story behind BLOKKE

BLOKKE Kartel Sdn Bhd

In partnership with

BLOKKE was founded in April 2016 by Nazrudin Rahman, Nizam Rahman, Sheahnee Iman Lee and Ken Lam out of a shared love for LEGO. Through our unique ecosystem – comprising café, playhouse, and LEGO Education arm BLOKKELabs – BLOKKE aims to unite families as well as Adult Fans Of LEGO (AFOL) through LEGO, at a time when gadgets have all but completely taken over lives and quality bonding time. BLOKKE has in just a short time proven to be the venue of choice for families, friends, corporations, NGOs and Lego groups to gather – whether through parties, corporate events, or even just a simple playdate.

BLOKKELabs Sdn Bhd

In partnership with

BLOKKELabs was established as a LEGO Education centre in July 2016, and subsequently incorporated as a social enterprise in April 2017, with the aim of offering kids of all ages and abilities a different approach to education, using LEGO.

Through the development of programmes like BLOKKETherapy, BLOKKELabs is also reaching out to communities that are left behind by the education system – with autism currently being the primary focus of our work.

BLOKKELabs was formally accredited as a Social Purpose Organisation by Agensi Inovasi Malaysia and as an Impact Driven Enterprise by MaGIC in 2018.

At BLOKKE, we believe that social good must be the primary driver behind what we do, and that investing into society is equally, if not more important, than investing into our business.

We are passionate about building communities and creating spaces that encourage real connections, and imagine a world where we can bring people together, one BLOKKE at a time.
